Visits by Parliamentarians and Heads of State

Previous events have included:

• A special visit by Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan to their alma mater, the University of Oxford.
• Making arrangements for the G7 Health Ministers' Summit, held in Oxford
• The then Prime Minister Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, visiting the Old Road Campus Research Building to meet senior researchers from the ChAdOx1 nCov-19 coronavirus vaccine team
• Liu Yandong, Vice-Premier of the People’s Republic of China, visiting Oxford to witness the signing of multiple agreements between the University and Chinese partners and to deliver a speech in the Sheldonian Theatre
• A visit by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain and Her Majesty Queen Letizia, to Oxford, to explore the cultural links between the University and Spain
