Planning for incidents will make sure that you can act quickly and decisively should something such as a protest, interruption or evacuation happen during your event.
- An Incident response plan helps you to consider the type of incidents and actions you may want to put in place for your event.
- Incident Team - For each event you should put an Incident Team in place. You will want to consider a Senior Member of Leadership to act as a Incident Team Lead (briefing document example and flowchart), Event Manager (flowchart), Venue Manager, First Aider, Security Lead, Press/Comms Lead and a Scribe. You should make sure to have mobile numbers of all members of the team and consider a form of quick communication to use during the event, such as a WhatsApp group.
